The Doerfels, an amazing 12 member family band, have been performing up and down the East coast full time for nearly three years now. They have traveled far and wide in their 40 ft. bus from Key West , FL, Silver Dollar City Branson, Mo, Thomas Point Beach, Maine, and up to North Bay, Ontario, Canada. They have recently been asked to come to Australia! When listening to them you would never guess that the average age of the band is 15 years old! The core band consists of the oldest son TJ. At 19 years old he leads the band, arranges, and composes much of their music. Other core members are Kim, Eddy, Joey, and Ben at 17, 14, 13, and 12 years old. Tom, the father, used to play bass but got promoted to bus driver when the 13 year old just picked it up one day and found out he could play. Mom also comes and sings a couple songs with Kim but will also be seen on the sidelines watching the little ones. Usually, parents make their kids practice and play their instruments but in this case it’s the other way around. The kids just love to play. The whole family does come up for certain songs singing and adding humor to the act making it entertaining for all ages. If you like country, comedy, gospel, and bluegrass, interspersed with a touch of blues, jazz, swing, and classical, you will certainly enjoy this amazing, young talented band!
