First Book-Ft Myers has been issuing grants since November of 2006 to children from low-income familes so they will have the opportunity to read and own their first books. The Board is comprised of employees from Corporate sponsors and community volunteers. We have been fortunate enough to award 3 grants to local schools and are looking forward to awarding more grants in the near future.
We are currently looking for volunteers to serve on the board and assist in any way they can.
