For the first time ever, the SWFLSO is presenting a multi media concert experience, exploring the inner workings Elgar’s Enigma Variations.

 The Southwest Florida Symphony, organized in 1961, celebrated its fiftieth anniversary in the 2010-11season.  With a budget of $1.1 million, each season the organization serves approximately 35,000 patrons in Southwest Florida, performing 20 or more public concerts.  Concerts series include: Classical and Pops concerts at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts hall, the Symphony on Sanibel at BIG Arts, the Shell Point Series and a Family Series at the Alliance for the Arts.  Among the most important educational programs of the Southwest Florida Symphony are: the Youth Orchestra program, consisting of two orchestras and chambers ensembles; and the Ensembles in the Schools program.
